Legendary Dallas institution Campisi’s continues to grow: The family-owned pizza chain known for its thin-crust pies just opened its first Fort Worth location in the Ridglea Village shopping center (near sushi phenom Little Lilly). Campisi’s may date all the way back to 1946, which is when their original “Egyptian restaurant” on Mockingbird Lane opened, but as Bud Kennedy notes, “the Campisi’s menu has kept up with newer pizza restaurants” by offering nouveau toppings like barbecue chicken and a unique muffaletta variety with cured meats and the requisite olive spread.
