Iconic Italian Restaurant Chain Campisi’s Is Coming to Lubbock

The iconic Campisi’s Italian restaurant chain is coming to Lubbock.

The oldest family-owned Italian restaurant in Texas will be taking over the former Zio’s location at 82nd and Quaker, near Subway and Starbucks. The opening is scheduled to occur Summer 2016.

The first Campisi’s opened in Dallas in 1946. The most famous Campisi’s location is the one near SMU on Mockingbird Lane location in Dallas. The Mockingbird Lane location opened in 1950.

Campisi’s currently operates 10 locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and the Lubbock location will be the first outside of DFW. The current CEO of Campisi’s, David Campisi, is a 1992 Texas Tech graduate.
