The Campisi’s restaurant on West Lovers Lane is moving into roomier digs, still serving its celebrated favorites but adding fresh fish and a new selection of Italian wine.

The popular Dallas eatery’s new venue will open Sept. 1 at 5405 Lovers Lane, said CEO David Campisi.

At 3,600 square feet, the new location will be more than double the former 1,500-square-foot site, just across the street at 5360 Lovers Lane.

There are seven Campisi’s Italian restaurants in the Dallas area, including its original location on Mockingbird Lane near Greenville Avenue, opened by Campisi’s grandfather in what previously was the Egyptian Lounge in 1946.

Campisi said he wanted the Lovers Lane location to be larger, but didn’t want to move too far away.
