Campisi’s Opening First Location Outside of North Texas

Dallas Italian restaurant company Campisi’s is building its first location outside of North Texas.
The new restaurant, the company’s 11th, will open near owner David Campisi’s alma mater, Texas Tech University. Campisi graduated from the college in 1992 with a degree in hotel restaurant institutional management.
Tentatively, Campisi’s expects the eatery, to be located at 4414 82nd St., Ste. 218 in Lubbock, to open in August. It will encompass 5,600 square feet.
Along with the restaurant, the company is working to set up a scholarship with Texas Tech in the Campisi name and offer an internship.
“I always dreamt of putting a restaurant in Lubbock and tying it into (Texas Tech’s) hotel restaurant management program,” Campisi told the Dallas Business Journal. “Tying it into the program offers me an opportunity (to)… train staff that can help us grow our company.”
